The ice itself is not the problem. What it indicates is: if moisture is freezing on the glass, it is also reaching the cold surfaces inside your walls and attic, where you will not see it until something rots.
Interior window ice is one of the few damp symptoms with a deadline attached. Water sitting on glass evaporates; water frozen onto glass sits there until a thaw and then runs all at once into the frame, the sill and whatever is below.
It is also a proportionate warning. Glass is the coldest surface you can see, but it is not the coldest surface in the building — that is usually the roof sheathing or the back of an exterior wall, and those are colder still.

Today
Turn the humidifier down or off, and check the reading in the room with the ice rather than the warmest room.
Open curtains and blinds so room air can reach the glass — closed coverings make the pane substantially colder.
Do not scrape the ice off a wet frame and leave it. Wipe the meltwater as it goes so it does not soak the sill and frame.
Air the house out briefly. Outdoor air in a hard freeze is extremely dry, so ten minutes removes a lot of moisture.

Stop drying laundry indoors for the duration of the cold spell, and check the dryer vents outside.
Run bathroom and kitchen extraction properly — in a freeze every pint counts more, because the air can hold so little.
Go up into the attic on a cold morning and look at the underside of the sheathing. Frost there is the same problem doing damage where you cannot see it.
If it has not improved
Air-seal the ceiling penetrations — recessed lights, plumbing stacks, the attic hatch. That is what stops moist air reaching the roof deck.
Consider secondary glazing or replacement units. Raising the glass temperature raises the humidity you can hold, which is the comfortable fix rather than the austere one.
If ice forms at 30% indoor humidity, the window is the constraint and no amount of drying will make the room pleasant.
Repair frames and sills that have been repeatedly soaked before they rot — repeated freeze-thaw at a wet joint is destructive.
Why it matters beyond the window
Ice on glass is visible and self-limiting. The same conditions produce condensation and frost inside wall cavities and on roof sheathing, where the moisture has nowhere to evaporate to and no one to notice it.
The sequence people report is consistent: ice on the windows in January, ceiling stains in March, and a mold problem found in the attic the following autumn. Treating the visible symptom as an alarm rather than a nuisance is what breaks that chain.
